That’s right book lovers, we have a contest that’s perfect for YOU!
With our March 15th Chapters Launch fast approaching, we wanted to create a contest that combines our love for reading, the inspiration found in our book AND the newest home of Little Voice!
The contest is simple:
1. Take a photo of yourself demonstrating how your own little voice inspires you;
2. Share this photo with us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram; and
3. Be sure to tag Little Voice and hashtag:
Each photo will grant you one entry into our grand draw giveaway! Photos taken live from our March 15th event will also qualify – so…
Join us then and have your cameras ready!

Little Voice joined the set of Roger’s Daytime Ottawa with host Derek Fage and co-host Jasmin Rose!
What a wonderful experience it was to join the set of Daytime Ottawa!
The cameras were rolling, the guests were waiting and the set director soon after counted down as we prepared to chat live!
We felt right at ease with Derick and Jasmin who, along with all of you at home, got to learn more about the inspiration, background and future projects for Little Voice!
Unfortunately, we ran out of time before we had the chance to share the winner of our contest! However, shortly after, we did make use of the Daytime Ottawa set one last time to announce our winner!
Congratulations to Lucy from Twitter! A copy of Little Voice will be arriving in your mailbox soon!
A BIG thank you to all those who shared and tweeted for our giveaway! Stay tuned for our next contest announcement, coming very very soon!
Stay tuned for the full interview link on our Press page!

With 2015 ahead of us, we can’t help but think of our own list of resolutions.
New Years is a perfect opportunity to think about what we want to accomplish in the year ahead. It’s a chance to think of our goals, both big and small, and a chance to create a plan of how we can attain them. It’s also an opportunity to think of ourselves and how we can improve our own outlook, our health, our intellect, etc… As well as a chance to think of others and how we can give back, offer support and volunteer.
We are very excited to be hosting our first Ottawa book launch tonight at Stella Luna Cafe! Bundle up and stop by between 6:30 and 9:30pm to pick up your copy of Little Voice!
Keeping with the festive season and the snow underway, we thought what better way to get excited than with a poem:
Here at Little Voice, we are huge supporters of local small businesses – not just because we ourselves are a small business, but because we truly believe in strengthening the economic base of our communities.
Alyssa Gregory’s article The Importance of Shopping and doing Business Locally perhaps says it best:
More and more, people are being encouraged to shop locally. This movement isn’t just a fad, and it has benefits that reach beyond keeping small mom and pop retailers afloat in a difficult economy. The more choices you have, the better the deals you can find. Small businesses encourage competition in the marketplace in a way that mega-corporations just can’t. Because local businesses help grow the economic base of your community, the dollars you spend have a domino effect. In many ways, that money will eventually find its way back to you.
On November 29th, Shop the Neighbourhood!
November 29th is the Shop The Neighbourhood event to promote local commerce! Better known as #shopthehood, this event is a free national initiative of Yellow Pages which supports small businesses and reminds Canadians how local shopping makes a difference in all our lives.
Check out the great deals in your participating city!
Ottawa has a great selection of registered small businesses! To see them all, visit the official Shop the Neighbourhood deals page here!
From apparel to groceries, beauty and wellness, home and garden, sports and fitness, computers and electronics, travel, kids and babies, restaurants and entertainment, there is truly something for everyone!
So, on November 29th … #shopthehood!
